"Nandamuri Taraka Rama Sagara Teera Aaramam" named after the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Late Sri N T Rama Rao, is more popularly and simply known as VUDA PARK (as it is maintained by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority).
It is developed on the beachfront in an area of 55 acres. Out of which 37 acres covered with lawns, various species of flower plants, hedge plants and others. This park consists of around 2,500 shade-giving trees.
It is the prominent recreation center for Vizagites and the visitors of Visakhapatnam.
It offers the dual advantage of spending a pleasant evening in the garden for sometime and then play in the beach waters until late evening while enjoying the eye catching and eco-rich surroundings.
The Park is well equipped with a variety of children play pens, boating club, musical fountains, a multi Gym, Yoga Center, Kala Vedika, Pagodas and many more. Every day thousands of people visit the VUDA Park.
Another attraction of the park is the Roller Skating Rink. The Park is equipped with International class Skating rings which is one of its kind in the country. Infact, this Skating Rink has been one of the venue for the 32nd National Games held in Visakhapatnam.

KAILASAGIRI HILL PARK
It is a hill top park developed by VUDA (Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority), covering more than 380 acres of land with well laid-out beautiful landscaped gardens. It is situated at an altitude of 360 ft above Mean Sea Level.
This park is the most popular getaway for the vizagites as well as for the tourists. An estimated around 3 lakh tourists visit this place every year.
Panoramic view of the blue waters of Bay of Bengal dotted with small fishing boats and golden sandy beaches on one side and ariel view of the bustling city nestled between lush green hills all around on the other side, enthrall the visitors of the Park and one is left with pleasant memories back home.
Attractions on the Hill
Kailasagiri means Kailasa Hill, which is the abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. As the name suggests, massive white marble statues of the ‘Divine Couple’ were built on the hill amidst a large landscaped garden. It’s a very picturesque location attracting tourists as well as many film-makers, who wish to capture the beauty with their cameras.
Titanic View Point: It offers panoramic view of the Bay of Bengal and the Beaches.
Huge structures of Shanku Chakra Naama of Lord Venkateswara of Tirupati were erected on the hill. It is illuminated with colourful lights during the night and is visible from many parts of the city.
Circular Toy Train: One can go around 2.75 km of the hill park in a narrow guage train. The 20 minute ride in the See-through glass coaches allows the passengers to enjoy breath-taking views of the sea and the city. Fare (up & down): Adult: Rs. Child: Rs.
Rope-way: The ropeway is the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh as well as Coastal India. While travelling up and down the 375 meter ropeway, you can have a 360 degree view of the surroundings.

Access: The park is accessible by 2 different road ways. One can also reach the hill top by ropeway or by a stair-way.
Though the park is declared a plastic-free zone, tourists are only educated and convinced to stop use of plastic and not penalized.

Nestled amidst green-capped hills is the beautiful Mudasarlova Park that was developed over six five years ago. At present spread over 12 acres, with greenery in 7.82 acres, abutting a picturesque reservoir of the same name, the park was developed during the British time. The reservoir is said to be in existence for over a century. The reservoir is fed by the springs originating from Kambalakonda and Kailasa Hill Ranges. Mudasarlova is the major source of drinking water to Vizag.
One can spot Peacocks and several other endangered birds in the park. The park is famous as a picnic spot as the greenery and the elegant-looking reservoir offers a feast to the eyes of nature-lovers. The key attraction of the place is the scenic 18-hole Golf course belonging to East Point Golf Club, which is maintained in international standards, is located next to the park.
Escape from the hustle & bustle of the city, to spend a lazy afternoon at the park admiring the beauty of nature. Located just 11 km from Dwaraka Central Bus station, it is easily accessible by Bus or Auto Rickshaw.
Overlooking the Bay of Bengal, situated at the foot-hills of Kailasagiri Hill Park, this beautiful park gives a spectacular view of the sea and of the Vizag Beach Road. The beautifully landscaped gardens are an ideal place for the visitors to spend a relaxing evening with family & friends.
A staircase leads down direct to the Beach. In this area, there are small rock formations in the beach which give a perfect back-drop for taking photos.
On the road side there are numerous stalls of street food like Noodles, Pani Puri, Chat, Corn, Ice cream, etc for people to relish. Also there are many stalls selling toys for children.
There is a big out-door screen in the park to showcase Sports etc.
One should enjoy the moon rise on a pournami day here. Its an unforgettable experience. One will definitely feel that 2 eyes are not enough to view the natural beauty of this place.
The park was named after Late Sri Tenneti Viswanadham (1896-1979), who was a famous political figure from Visakhapatnam.
